‘Crescent Moon over Martian Dunes’ transports me to another world. When I was creating this triptych I became immersed in the idea of alien landscapes and imagined vast untouched dunes, illuminated only by the faint light of a distant moon.
With the vivid purples, reds and greens I was able to set the scene of an eerie and un-natural environment. It’s as if massive gaseous clouds pollute the atmosphere, turning everything into a frighteningly nightmarish and psychedelic vision. Perhaps these dunes cover what was once a vibrant civilisation, long lost to its excesses and overconsumption. Are we destined for the same fate?
