The Extraordinary Lies Beneath.
Abstracted Reality is all about looking below the surface.
We all lead fast paced lives where we’re rushing from one thing to the next. When do we get a chance to just ‘be’ – to sit and reflect, to reach for something deeper and more meaningful and really get below the surface of our day to day lives?

I was fortunate enough to find that time and opportunity for contemplation through my photography. With a desire to slow down and really look, I learnt to see the extraordinary beauty in my immediate surroundings. My home became my inspiration and my muse.
Somehow, the small act of peeking into the unknown and mysterious, of shifting my attention to a layer below the surface, generated a whole new life and awareness.
I now have the chance to dream, and in a way, create a new existence from what is around me.
I believe we all need to create time and space where we can have a moment of quiet contemplation. Time to imagine, time to reflect, time to discover and give life to our own ‘extraordinary’.

In many ways, I view my artwork as existing in that contemplative space. It’s both a literal and metaphorical journey – a transformation from the ordinary and everyday into the incredible and remarkable.
I believe it’s a journey on which we can all embark.
Every time you look at an Abstracted Reality print, I hope you’ll be reminded of the ‘extraordinary’ which lies beneath. Let my work be a gateway and source of inspiration – a focal point for your own contemplation.
After all, the extraordinary may be closer than you think.
