<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

I\u2019ve always had more than a passing interest in astronomy and many of my images are inspired by unearthly bodies. As a child I would love to look at photographs of the planets and solar system and would marvel at the beauty and mystery of distant galaxies. Pictures of massive solar flares never failed to impress \u2013 the high energy radiation bursts erupting from the sun\u2019s surface and spilling out into space couldn\u2019t help but capture my imagination and instil a large degree of awe and wonder!<\/p>\n

\u2018Solar Flare\u2019 is my recreation of these tumultuous events. The swirling and spiralling formations create an underlying sense of motion and turmoil \u2013 of being swept upwards and inexorably carried along on vast cosmic winds. A warm, rich colour palette completes the picture, giving the sensation of heat and energy.<\/p>\n

* My preferred format for creating my images is an aspect ratio of 1.414 – in NZ this is the aspect ratio of an A2 piece of paper. While this is pleasing to my eye, it does tend to require custom framing which in my experience is very nice but has a price tag to match. <\/em><\/p>\n

I’m not going to change how I create my art, however in the interests of making it more accessible, I have reviewed each artwork and made some modifications to align it with common standards for print sizes. These changes provide access to a broader range of framing options and allow me to partner with some resellers who can handle the sales process more efficiently than I can.<\/em><\/p>\n

Limited Editions are a premium product, and quite simply, the best Fine Art Print option available of my work.You can choose from a standard range of sizes or have it custom sized (some limitations apply).<\/p>\n
